ANOTHER BRICK IN THE WALL

The Mission was; go to a hostile ground to face the Bundasliga Champions and come away with something.
We did and, save for a wonder goal from Peresic which Barcelona or Man Utd or Brazil 1970 for that matter could have done nothing about, we may have come away with all three points.
It's all about context at the moment, a building process and tonight was another brick in the wall for The Arsenal.

Well done boys!

  1. Yes , a good enough result, which I would and most gooners would settle for before the match. Fortunately the areas of exposure are those that we can fix in house. Centre Field have both Ramsey and Jack to come in. and CB we have Thomas to come in. I dont know about Been-a-yawn though. He should have been replaced by Frimpong early in 2nd half when it became clear he was not at the races, and brought Arteta forward where he could link play a bit better.

Reminicent of the Tottenham home game, 4 - 2 up and AW takes off Theo and left the way open for their left back to rob us of two points, was the substitution of the captain, and with him and Gervinho went any fear Dortmond had of conceding a second, and had a free hand to mount a series of attacks. The tactical substitution of AW still amazes me, as they virtually always put our own team under pressure.

Anyway the worst is over for a few matches, as we should have enough for Blackburn, and we should be able to see what Ryo and Park and others can do on Tuesday and then Home to Bolton.

Hopefully we will go back for M'Vila during the winter window, to give us the winter / spring lift for the run in.
