PUNCHING ABOVE THEIR WEIGHT ?

There’s this club, right, that have had a great season; Champions League place secured, Quarter Finals of the FA Cup, Last 16 of Champions League, Carling cup finalists. What a season eh?
I mean when you look at the squad of players they have, you have to say it’s an achievement don’t you?
The squad has a tiny number of real quality players and many more players who are uninspiring and , let’s face it, not up to much; Denilson, Diaby, Eboue, Rosicky, Almunia, Squillacci, Bendtner, Koscielny, Fabianski. There are also players who blow hot and cold, some times good sometimes pitiful; Arshavin, Clichy, Walcott
There are also a number of other squad players that can’t be up to much, or they would have got games ahead of that lot of mediocrity, wouldn’t they?
Yeah, the rest of the squad must be really dire in that case; Shea, Martinez, Miquel, Boateng, Yennaris, Cruise, Henderson, Aneke, Ozyakup, Frimpong, Deacon, Murphy.
Yeah, looking at how poor that squad is, its been a terrific season!

Well not a happy end. Contrast if you will with big Tone banging in the fourth all those years ago. All I can say 'I wasn't there so I don't care' but I do. Surely there is a contract whereby you pay your £0000000's to pay for the team to turn up and at least try to win. Would there be enough muppets out there who would pay the inflated price hike to fill the seats that were left empty by the 'real' fans. The answer would be yes. Sheeple in replica tops? Turn up with flags, banners. Create a situation in the ground where there is real crowd dissent, publicly embarass the board that seem to care only for balancing the books and not filling the trophy cabinet. The irony in all this is that Chapman would have never, never allowed this situation to happen. Nothing has changed from the owners treating the lower class, factory workers as terrace fodder
