Take Fabregas, Van Persie, Walcott and Vermaelan out of the equation and Arsenal’s chances of progress in the Champions League decreases significantly.I believe that scoring against Barca is the key and the ability to, if needs be get a second, gives us an advantage. The doubt for me is players such as Rosicky (unfortunately), Denilsen, and Diaby who I maintain should be nowhere near the Arsenal squad. Bendtner, Djorou. Chamakh, Eboue are okay but again you wonder where the sparks will emanate from.

My belief in our best XI remains; however when we reach deeper into the squad concern sets in. Our best XI can achieve something  this season but when that XI is compromised you wonder who will step into the breach and be a hero. You never know who may just do that and rise to the occasion. LEAGUE OF ORDINARY GENTLEMEN

Sunderland V Sp*rs ended goalless meaning that Sp*rs currently sit third. It was a game that had 0-0 written all over it after about 30 minutes. The baton now passes to us in today’s fixture against Man City. A win gives us a two point advantage and a draw puts us back in third. What the SAFC v THFC game showed is the poverty of this current Premier League; it was awful.
