Its a historic trophy, perhaps the most celebrated in the world, and to win it is an achievement as each season the options for securing success are limited and certainly European success is currently beyond us as is a triumph in the league. So we should enjoy a cup run and the possibility of knocking out a loathed opponent here, a plucky underdog there and a return trip to Wembley. The next bridge to cross is in the shape of Brighton & Hove Albion so let's hope we get the right result on the sunny South Coast. An Historic club like ours should want to win a historic trophy such as the FA Cup, after all it's something of a tradition.
